Linda Delgado serves as Director of Government Affairs for Oxfam America, an international emergency relief and development organization dedicated to creating lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice. Linda has travelled twice to Cuba in 2015 – to touch base with Oxfam Cuba organizations which has had an uninterrupted presence in Cuba over the last 22 years, and to attend an international conference in Pinar del Rio focused on emerging the Social and Solidarity Economy.
Linda joined Oxfam America in June 2009 from Portland, Oregon where she was the Robert E. Friedman Fellow at Ecotrust, and before that, from Co-Director of the Forest Program at the World Resources Institute. During the second term of the Clinton Administration, Linda was Chief of Staff to Richard Rominger, the US Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, and environment policy advisor to Dan Glickman, US Secretary of Agriculture. Linda joined the Administration from six years on the Hill where she staffed Senator Barbara Boxer of California and Congressman Sam Farr on environment, agriculture and appropriations issues.
