Southeastern African American Farmers' Organic Network (SAAFON)
Cynthia Hayes, Executive Director

Southeastern African American Farmers’ Organic Network (SAAFON) provides education and training to small-scale underserved farmers and their communities on the best practices for creating sustainable and economically viable agricultural projects and programs.

SAAFON is a grassroots, land-based network organization that emphasizes the importance of incorporating in information and trainings the understanding of the significant role cultural history plays in the production of our foods. Cynthia Hayes has grown SAAFON’s membership to 120+ farmer-members in eight states and the U.S. Virgin Islands since 2006.
